The Dorothy Day Guild is pleased to offer speakers on various aspects of Dorothy’s life and witness for your event! Our speakers are artists, activists, academics, and others whose careers and spiritual journeys have been significantly impacted by their encounter with Dorothy Day. All are experts who are excited to share their knowledge and experience with your group.

We are happy to coordinate speakers for both virtual and in-person events for parishes, universities, civic organizations, middle and high school groups and more. Speaking fees vary based on the type of event and distance to travel; all of our speakers contribute a portion of their fee to further the work of the Dorothy Day Guild.

Our speakers’ bureau is currently led by Martha Hennessy, Catholic Worker, Plowshares activist, and granddaughter of Dorothy Day. Please contact Martha using our “Request Speaker” form so that we can assist you in finding the right speaker for your event.
